It was founded in mid 18^th century by Raja Mukand Singh. The fort is spread on sprawling 2 acres land , projected through high wall with ramparts leading to a vast spacious forecourt at the entrance. Overhanging balconies, arched windows and corridors display fine art work .

45 rooms and 4 suites hotel with attached bath are furnished with antique furniture and decorations and are air-conditioned.
